Gun, schottische Rock-Helden, kündigen ihr neues und insgesamt neuntes Studioalbum mit dem Titel „Hombres“ an, das im April 2024 beim Label Cooking Vinyl Records erscheinen wird.
Es ist das erste neue Studioalbum der Band nach „Favourite Pleasures“, das 2017 erschien und auf der britischen Musikcharts einen beachtlichen 16. Platz erreichte.
Auf dem neuen Album stellt sich auch das neue Mitglied vor: Gitarrist Ru Moy.
Unten gibt’s die erste Single und das Video (Regie: Kerian Howe in den Morsecode Studios) zur Nummer All Fired Up.
Das Album „Hombres“ wurde von Simon Bloor (Trevor Horn) aufgenommen und produziert, den Mix übernahm Daryl Thorpe (Foo Fighters) in den Studios Morsecode und Strongroom. Als besondere Gäste auf dem neuen Album dabei: die Background-Sängerinnen Beverley Skeete (Elton John, Chaka Khan, Tom Jones, Johnny Cash), Mary Pearce (Primal Scream, Lionel Ritchie, Chaka Khan) und Sarah-Jane Skeete (Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Bill Wyman) von The Sisterhood, sowie Joe Lazerus von Twin Atlantic am Schlagzeug.
